Out on a limb for the Trees

A large surgical area of severe Fungal damage, encompassing nearly half of the underside of a main branch on a Coast Live Oak. Fungal damage on dead tissue (in this case) can be tricky to remove due to the hardened nature of the tissue.

The best approach is to focus on the living (red & pink) tissue, remove fungal spreading, isolate the infected/decayed section and cauterize it thoroughly.
